Every person in their life has a moment in life in which they feel like giving up. For me, I believe it was the summer before Freshman year at UF when my father passed away. It was a trying time for my family and I had to contemplate withdrawing from school and working at home. Thankfully, I continued to go through with school and was able to conquer my fears and worries and continue on. I think this course has allowed me to develop a tenacious attitude because I take control of the situations and assignments. I believe the course setup is the reason for this.
Three tips I would offer would be:
- Stay on top of yourself and manage your time well because assignments will come and pass quickly.
- Don't get discouraged. With all these assignments on your opportunity, it is easy to lose interest in your opportunity or believe it is not good enough.
- My last tip is that you get out what you put in. If you only care about turning in assignments for credit, this class will be fine but you will not get much out of it. If you put time and research into this class, you will gain a bunch of knowledge and use this in the future.
I like your comment about not getting discouraged. The assignments really forces us to analyze and critique almost every aspect of our opportunities, so it can be easy to get down on yours and feel like it's not good enough. I also agree with your last tip seeing as if you do the assignments just to get them done you won't really get anything out of it, but if you put some thought into it you might actually learn something.
